The month of December is always busy trying to get ready for the holidays and it's easy to eat too many cookies or take more rest days from the gym. Below are 5 tips to help you stay healthy during the holidays.
1.) Continue your daily routine even if it's as simple as eating breakfest or taking your dog for his daily morning walk. Don't loose your daily healthy habits even though your more busy than normal.
2.) Increase your cardio. Work off the extra Christmas cookies that you have been indulging in.
3.) Do not deprive yourself. It's okay 2 allow yourself to have 1 or 2 cookies, just not the whole box. Food is a major part of the holidays, avoid overeating and take smaller portions.
4.) Keep your intensity up with your workouts. Try adding more jumping movements or more supersets in your workouts. When you are out holiday shopping try taking the stairs instead of the escalators.
5.) Last but not least, enjoy the holidays! Don't be hard on yourself! If you skip a workout or have 1 too many Christmas cookies, don't beat yourself up about it. Tomorrow is a new day!
